German telecom provider leaks iPhone 17 series launch date

Apple almost always launches new iPhones in September, usually around the 9th. This year will be no different, according to documents leaked by a German telecom provider.
According to the German website iphone-ticker.de, these documents show that Apple will announce the iPhone 17 family on 9 September after which sales will start on 19 September. Apple has yet to send out invitations for this Keynote so it won't be official until those invitations are out the door.
Previous iPhones were also often announced around this date, sometimes a few days later, sometimes a little earlier;
Apple always avoids Sept. 11, the day several terrorist attacks took place in the U.S. in 2001.
New iPhone lineup
During the Keynote, Apple is rumored to announce the iPhone 17, 17 Air, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. A Plus model is missing this year and will be replaced by an ultra-thin Air model. New watches and Airpods may also be introduced at the event. The new iPhones will be available for preorder that Friday after which they will be in stores the following Friday, Sept. 19, according to the source.
Apple is expected to give the design of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max a makeover with a two-tone back and a full-width camera island. The entry-level iPhone 17 retains its old familiar camera layout.
The unveiling of the iPhone 16 was snowed under by the frequent postponement of Apple Intelligence, even though it was presented as the most important new feature. Even now, not all promised AI features are available including the all-new and smarter Siri.
Whether those problems are fixed we will be happy to hear on Sept. 9 but it is clear that Apple is behind on AI.
