Samsung Galaxy S25 FE will soon be able to charge faster than S25

Samsung's fan editions are usually big, low-priced versions of the entry-level model, but with just a little less power and just a little less specs. Not so the S25 FE, which rumor has it will soon be able to charge faster than the more expensive S25.

Samsung has been sticking to 25W for many Galaxy models for years, and sometimes, very sometimes it is 45W but then we are also talking about a top model. Apparently, Samsung thinks the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE is such a top-of-the-line model because it, in particular, can charge quickly with 25W. And to put things in perspective; the S25 and S25 Edge have to make do with only 25W.

We can also turn the news around. Possibly the S25 FE marks the moment when Samsung equips all Galaxy phones with 45W fast charging. So we dare to claim in advance that the Galaxy S26 will soon come with 45W fast charging as well. Although we must acknowledge that we have not yet received any rumors about that.

TÜVRheinland certification

News about 45W fast charging for the Samsung S25 FE comes from SammyGuru that found information about it in a certification application. This lists the type number of the S25 FE; SM-S731.

It was mentioned earlier that the latest Fan Edition features a 6.7-inch screen with an Exynos 2400e processor inside. The S24 FE also featured that, so at least that's not where the innovation is. Samsung may announce the S25FE sometime in late September or early October. That's when we'll know more.
