European prices of Google Pixel 10 phones mentioned

It seems that the recommended retail prices of the Google Pixel 10 series for Europe are known. Not only that, but those of the Buds 2a are also mentioned. Now that the prices are known, we can immediately compare them with those of last year and something positive stands out.
The prices below appeared on the Bluesky account of Roland Quandt. During the day he works for Winfuture but in the evenings he moonlights. Sometimes he sells pictures of unannounced phones to others, and yet other times he posts recommended retail prices of those phones on social media. So this time of the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL and 10 Pro Fold.
128GB | 256GB | 512GB | 1 TB | ||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Pixel 10 | €899 | € 999 | - | - | - |
Pixel 10 Pro | € 1099 | € 1199 | € 1329 | € 1589 | |
Pixel 10 Pro XL | - | € 1299 | € 1429 | € 1689 | |
Pixel 10 Pro Fold | - | € 1899 | € 2029 | € 2289 |
We can derive quite a bit from the above table. For example, prices for the Pixel 10, 10 Pro and 10 Pro Fold remain the same as the Pixel 9, 9 Pro and 9 Pro Fold. Something that is always nice in times of high inflation and trade wars.
End of 128GB Pro XL
However, something is also changing. For example, the Pixel 10 Pro is getting a larger memory option of 1TB, and the entry-level 128GB will disappear for the Pixel 10 Pro XL. While the price point of the 256GB version remains the same, the lack of a 128GB version means you have to put down €100 more to get an XL in your home.
Roland goes on to mention a €149 Pixel Buds 2a. If as its name suggests it is to succeed the Pixel Buds A then the price is a bit on the high side. The Buds A hit the market in 2021 for €99.
TSMC
Thanks to previous information, we know that the Pixel 10 series is very similar to last year's Pixel 9 series. In terms of appearance, we mean, because this time the chipset are no longer made by Samsung but by TSMC. Qualcomm, currently the most powerful chips for Android phones, also has its chipsets made by TSMC. That bodes well in terms of performance and energy efficiency.
Made by Google
Google is expected to announce its latest phones as early as summer during a special Made by Google event. Exactly when this event will be held is still unknown but the date August 20 is frequently mentioned. Should Google indeed unveil the Pixel 10 series on this date, we expect them in stores a week later, possibly on Aug. 28.
