Galaxy AI possibly also free after 2025; these are the exceptions

Samsung introduced the Galaxy AI in 2024 with the announcement that it would be free until the end of 2025. What would happen to it after that remained unclear for a long time. Perhaps it would have to be paid for. Samsung seems to have made up its mind what to do with its suite of intelligent features.

This is a rumor for now, Samsung itself has not communicated anything about it. But according to @PandaFlashPro, Galaxy AI will simply be free to use even after 2025. That just doesn't apply to the Gemini Advanced features.

Samsung introduced Galaxy AI with the Galaxy S24 and expanded it significantly since the arrival of the S25. It now includes the following features:

• Generative Edit
• Audio Eraser
• Auto Trim
• Call Transcript
• Writing Assist
• Interpreter

Samsung is working closely with Google on this. Thus, Samsung also reports typical Google features such as Circle to Search and Music Search as if it were part of Galaxy AI. As it looks now, all these mentioned features will remain available for free to users of a compatible Galaxy S phone beyond 2025. Those are currently the;

That does not apply to the six-month Gemini Advanced trial that some Galaxy S models ship with. But then that seems to be the only exception for now. Samsung itself has yet to confirm the decision so we'll wait here for a while before the flag can go out.
