Dusan Vlahovic: AC Milan ahead of Manchester United in race for Serbia star

Dusan Vlahovic is reportedly ready to snub interest from Manchester United and sign for AC Milan.
The Juventus striker has entered the last 12 months of his contract and the Bianconeri are believed to be willing to allow him to leave on a free.
That makes him an enticing prospect for several clubs, including United, who are looking to upgrade on Rasmus Hojlund given his struggles since arriving at Old Trafford from Atalanta.

Serbia international Vlahovic is also on Milan’s shortlist and, according to reports in Italy, would rather remain in Serie A and move to San Siro.
Darko Kovacevic, who also starred for Serbia and Juventus, believes the 25-year-old needs a fresh start and has backed him to quit the Turin club.
Kovacevic, who is now sporting director at Greek club Olympiacos, told Gazzetta: “I’d tell Dusan to move right away. It’s not easy to leave Juventus and I say that from personal experience.
“However, sometimes you need to challenge yourself again to be happy and reach the top level. Someone like Vlahovic should always be a starter, whether at Juventus or elsewhere.
“We can’t afford him at Olympiacos, but Milan or Manchester United could be good options for Dusan.”
Allegri eager to snap up Vlahovic
A move to Milan would reunite Vlahovic with former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, who has returned to the club he led to the Scudetto in 2011.
The Rossoneri could only manage an eighth-placed finish last term and head into the new season without a recognised centre forward after Tammy Abraham went back to Roma following the expiration of his loan deal.
United States winger Christian Pulisic top-scored for Milan last season with 11 league goals.
