Budget Xiaomi Redmi 15C put on sale early

An Italian website has put the Xiaomi Redmi 15C online ahead of schedule. The low-cost smartphone has not yet been announced, but is already on sale for €122.61 in Midnight Gray color. In addition to the price, the site also lists the full specifications.

We could previously show you exclusive images of the Redmi 15C but now the device actually appears in a store. According to rumors, the launch is expected soon so it is not strange, but considering that Xiaomi has yet to announce the device it is noteworthy.

The web store was also kind enough to mention the specifications. Thus, we can tell you that the 15C features a 6000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging and runs under a MediaTek Helio G81 processor. Earlier we informed you that the device features a modest 4GB of RAM memory with 128GB of storage.

Xiaomi is equipping the device with Xiaomi HyperOS, which version remains a secret for now. What we can tell you, however, is that the 15C just like last year's Redmi 14C does not have 5G. So this is a 4G-only device. These are not usually sold in the Netherlands but we still expect Xiaomi to release the device here.

And then the price of the Redmi 15C, which is an equally modest €122.61 including VAT. Italy has a VAT rate of 22%. This price is some €25 lower than what the 14C came out for at the time. Still, it is too early to conclude that we are looking at a price cut. Only once Xiaomi officially announces the device, giving a suggested retail price, will we dare to say how much the device really costs.
