Prototype of Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic offered for sale on eBay

Manufacturers usually announce their products before we find them secondhand on platforms like eBay, but Samsung likes to do things a little differently. Those who want can bid on eBay for a not yet announced Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Remarkable? Absolutely! A bargain? Absolutely not!

We often see manufacturers being a bit careless with unannounced products, but Samsung is making it pretty wild this time. Those who want can buy a prototype of the yet-to-be-announced Galaxy Watch 8 Classic on eBay.

The asking price is $570 and then our advice would be to wait until the smartwatch is official and then buy a new one. Just saves some money. The seller does confirm the updated design the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic features. The casing is in between a square and circle and is therefore also called squircle. We saw it before with the Watch Ultra.

Fans of the rotating bezel can indulge themselves; it is experiencing its comeback with the Watch 8 Classic. Only the two sizes disappear; the future watch will only be available in a 46mm case. There may, however, be a choice of 4G/LTE and Bluetooth versions.

The lucky buyer will get a charging cable and a leather wristband with it. Whether that is the full contents of the box the seller does not know. Nor do we know how he or she got it. We do see on the box that it was made in Vietnam, so maybe that's a hint to the buyer's origins.

The many images further teach us that the smart watch features Sapphire Crystal on the front, something we see more often on more luxurious watches. The case is 5ATM waterproof and the LTE version features GPS for accurate location tracking. The corresponding type number is SM-L505U, which matches previous rumors.

We also see a hefty button on the right. Which, unlike @onleaks' renders, is not completely orange like on the Galaxy Watch Ultra, but does have a ring-shaped orange print. We expect a launch sometime after the summer period, possibly at the same time as the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Most likely, we will also see the regular Galaxy Watch 8 watches then.
