Exclusive: First evidence of Fairphone 6 emerges

The first evidence of the Fairphone 6 has surfaced. The sustainable smartphone will be available in at least two color variants, whose official names we now know. The memory configurations have also been leaked. But the most striking news? Fairphone seems to be working on something bigger: a new name.
The first evidence of the existence of the Fairphone 6 is an image that was shared with us. It appears to originate from an internal sales system, similar to those used by online stores. It is striking that there are two references to the 'Fairphone Gen 6', which could indicate a new name for the device.
The Fairphone Gen 6 will soon be available in at least two colors: Horizon Black and Forest Green. The Fairphone 5 was also released in these colors, at the time under the names Matte Black and Moss Green. There is still no sign of a blue or transparent version.
RAM and storage
The spotted version of the Fairphone 6 has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Whether there will be a 6/128GB version, as with the Fairphone 5, is still unknown. Given the long lifespan of the average Fairphone, this is not very likely.
The EAN codes are also known to the editors and do indeed belong to the Dutch Fairphone. We therefore have confidence in the source and vouch for its authenticity.
Fairphone 6 announcement
Fairphone usually announces its phones in August or September. Seeing the device listed in a sales system now seems early. We may be able to expect a launch sooner than usual. Fairphone announced a new corporate identity in early 2025, and we think a new mobile phone would be a great addition to that.
