Another renders leaked of Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 series, this time straight from the

Evleaks has shown new renders of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 watches. This time we can see the movement directly from the front, something we have not seen before. Especially the entry-level Galaxy Watch 8 looks striking, almost like a drawing.
The Galaxy Watch 8 series is coming up consisting of the entry-level Galaxy Watch 8, the classic Galaxy Watch 8 Classic with rotating bezel and a flagship possibly called Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Apart from the difference in price, the watches share the new squircle design.
And in the case of the Galaxy Watch 8 in particular, that produces a strange result as far as we are concerned. The image of the watch looks almost like an icon, like a drawing. The size what sits between a circle and square provides quite a bit of unnecessary aluminum that we do not immediately see the point of. It does look recognizable, though, so maybe that's what Samsung was aiming for.

In addition to the squircle design, something else is changing. Samsung is moving away from the two-tone stitching on the strap. We actually liked that and it was also very recognizable. No other smartwatch manufacturer imitated Samsung. The Classic version gets a classic leather strap that blends in with the masses while the Ultra has to make do with the same Marine strap. Boring though.
The launch of Samsung's new watches may be scheduled for July of 2025. Expect the watches to run One UI 8 Watch and be equipped with once again many fitness and health features.
