Samsung unveils 5.8mm thin Galaxy S25 Edge which comes at the cost of battery

Samsung, as announced last night, officially launched the S25 Edge. The device is especially thin. With a body that measures 5.8 millimeters at its thinnest point. That does come at the expense of battery capacity, which remains at 3900 mAh.
We have read the press release of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge several times. Looking for promises about the battery life but we are not very reassured. Indeed, not a word is mentioned about it.
Samsung does update us on the strong titanium body with the new Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, which allows Samsung to make the S25 Edge very thin but still strong. The Snapdragon 8 Elite processor is the same as in other S25 models and offers high-quality performance. These are also needed to keep the many AI features running smoothly.
200MP with Nightography
So performance has not been skimped on. What was skimped on was the number of cameras. We find two on the back of the Galaxy S25 Edge. A 12MP ultra-wide-angle and a 200MP main camera. Samsung promises that this larger sensor captures 40% more light and therefore shoots brighter photos in the dark than the S25..
Samsung ships the Galaxy S25 Edge with Android 15 and One UI 7. This includes new features such as Now Brief and the Now Bar, as well as Google Gemini. Seven years of Android upgrades and security updates are promised, until May 31, 2032. It is hoped that battery, which by the way can be charged quickly with only 25W, will last until then. We have our reservations about it.
Temporarily 512GB for the price of 256GB
Expect to see the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge in Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack and Titanium Icyblue colors in stores for a suggested retail price of €1249. You get 256GB of storage for that. A 512GB version is also available. You get that one for the price of a 256GB version until June 1. After that, you'll pay €120 more for it. Those who order now will have the S25 Edge in their homes on May 27.
