OnePlus already shows 43mm small Watch 3, not official until July 8

On July 8, OnePlus announced a smaller version of its smartwatch, the Watch 3. It was initially only available in a solid 46mm version, but will soon be available in a smaller 43mm version. OnePlus is already showing off the watch.

Usually, manufacturers first announce a product before showing it to the public. OnePlus is doing it the other way around; they are showing the Watch 3 43mm now, including an introductory discount, and only then announcing it. Date of announcement? Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 10:30 Central European Time.

The introduction of a smaller Watch 3 seems like a good move by OnePlus. Not everyone has wrists on which a large smartwatch looks nice. And where most manufacturers choose to target a female audience for its smaller smartwatch, OnePlus takes a broader approach. The OnePlus Watch 3 43mm suits all genders because of its unisex design.

Refined design

The casing is much more refined than the Watch 3 46mm and gone is the right-hand corner with the huge swivel crown. That crown is still on the 43mm version of the Watch 3 but not as present. A nice detail is that the crown is still tapered.

According to OnePlus, the watch measures your mental state every half hour. This information is also made insightful, though how remains a secret for now. Possibly through the accompanying smartphone app. In addition to being smaller, the watch is also thinner and lighter.
