On Tuesday White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt launched an attack on the BBC's coverage of reports that Israeli forces had killed Palestinians near an aid distribution centre in Gaza. She claimed that the BBC took down a story after reviewing footage. The BBC has said the claim is completely wrong and that it stands by its journalism.
