Liverpool's Kostas Tsimikas reveals touching tattoo dedicated to Diogo Jota

The tragic passing of Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva in early July sent shockwaves through the football world.
The pair died in a car accident in Spain while traveling ahead of Jota’s return to pre-season training with Liverpool – a devastating loss that has left a lasting impact on teammates, fans and the wider footballing community.
Among those most deeply affected is Jota’s close friend and former Liverpool teammate, Kostas Tsimikas. The Greek international had already posted an emotional tribute shortly after the news broke, recalling the memories, laughs and bond the two shared – both on and off the pitch.
Now, Tsimikas has revealed another heartfelt tribute: a tattoo bearing the words “Wish you were here”, alongside the number 20 – Jota’s Liverpool shirt number, which the club has since retired in his honour.
The tattoo was inked just two days after Jota’s passing by Puerto Ink Athens, who shared a powerful message alongside the image.
“Some bonds are beyond football. This one’s forever," wrote the studio. "Rest easy, Jota. You’ll never walk alone."
A gesture inked in grief and love, it’s a reminder that Jota’s spirit will live on in every corner of Anfield – and in every heart he touched.
