Black Ops 7 multi-player

In COD, you can perform chain wall leaps to reach higher heights.

Wall Jumps have been added to the Omnimovement system. bo7 bot lobbies allows you jump vertically and chain up three jumps. The loss in momentum between jumps is noticeable, and helps maintain the balance of momentum. It's a nice concept, but the maps don't seem to make much use of it (at least not in the beta). I wish it was more of a Wall Run than a Wall Jump. Call of Duty, however, is still carrying the baggage of its Advanced and Infinite Warfare failures from a decade earlier.

Overclocking, a new feature in the game, is one of its most important features

Treyarch boasts about a brand new Overclock system. This is meant to help you boost your gear when playing multiplayer. This is an amazing addition. When you create a class, the Tactical & Lethal Equipment as well as Field Upgrades & Scorestreaks can be customized. It's an interesting update to multiplayer. You can now further customize your gameplay. If you use the new Psych Grenade to run, for instance, you have the option of increasing the duration during which enemies are stunned or enacting DoT on anyone caught within its area. Black Ops 7 would do well to better indicate when you have reached Overclocked.

bo7 accounts's map is tightly wound.

Black Ops 7 features 16 core 6v6 multi-player maps that will be available this fall. Six are released in stages over the beta weekends. Treyarch's approach is very basic, as it draws inspiration from Black Ops 2 for the layout of the game spaces. It's safe to say the Black Ops Seven maps I tried prioritized clear sightlines, especially for short-to medium-length engagements. They also had a clear 3-lane design which helped to funnel the players towards the frontline. It's only early days and there are so many maps we still need to see. Although the pool does seem to have more solid bases than the Black Ops 6 selection at launch.

Lethal score streaks can make and break matches

Treyarch has reintroduced Scorestreaks for Black Ops 7 for whatever reason. They are especially lethal. The studio has taken into consideration feedback that Scorestreaks were not strong enough in Black Ops 6. This set of 2035-inspired weapons is now proving to have a brutal impact. BO7's attack dog is the DAWG, a Deployable Weaponized Landcraft equipped with a large-caliber turret. It is brutal. Scorestreaks also have an Overclocked option, which boosts their utility. However, we'll see.

The beta test will be a momentous occasion

Black Ops 7 has two beta sessions. You can get an early-access component for those who have pre-ordered Black Ops 7 between October 2- 5, and then you can join the open-beta for anyone else on October 5-8. No doubt, if you pay attention, you know that Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10, so this game is right up there. Call of Duty does have some real competition in this year's release, which I haven't said for a few years. Treyarch uses that pressure in order to deliver an outstanding multiplayer experience. This builds on Black Ops 2's legacy and the feedback received from Black Ops 6 as well. Black Ops 7's package is so vast that I still have a lot of things to discover, but what I've seen in my hands-on has been incredibly positive. Bring on that beta!
